As a Wells Fargo Home Mortgage customer, you have options for how you pay your bill: You can pay in person, by phone, by mail, or — perhaps most conveniently — online.
By logging on to Wells Fargo Online®, you can take advantage of features like recurring payments or setting reminders for when payments are due. Here’s what you need to know about these key features:
Wells Fargo Online is a helpful hub for managing your mortgage. You can set up recurring payments that withdraw from a Wells Fargo account or an account with another institution.
Here’s how to set this up in your online account:
- Log into your account.
- From the top navigation, go to “Transfer & Pay” and select “Pay WF Accounts”
- Use the “From” drop down box to select your Wells Fargo account. (You will need to add any accounts that are non-Wells Fargo)
- Use the “To” drop down box to select your Wells Fargo mortgage.
- Select frequency, withdrawal date(s), and amount.
When setting the frequency, you may want to consider signing up for automatic payments. These scheduled withdrawals are free, can be timed to match your pay cycle, and can simplify your budget. By selecting the weekly or biweekly options, you can reduce your principal loan balance an additional two to four times per year by applying your partial payment. Monthly and twice-a-month withdrawals do not create additional partial payments that can be applied to reducing your principal loan balance. Learn more about setting up automatic payments.
You can also pay down your mortgage at any time by designating additional funds to go towards your principal balance.
Help ensure that you make your payments on time by setting up account alerts.1 To receive alerts, you first need to sign up for Wells Fargo Online. Next, go to Accounts and then Manage Alerts to see all the notifications you can set up, including when your mortgage payment is due, and when your mortgage payment posted.
You can opt for the alerts to be sent via email or as push notifications on your phone. To receive Push notifications, be sure to enable Push Notifications under “Account Settings” from the Wells Fargo mobile app.
